A couple weeks ago I get this lovely little facebook message asking if I remembered her form a few years back and how much she loved my shots.

Kim was getting married in three weeks (spontaneous like both her and Vincent she said!) and would I be free to share their day. I am so glad I was!

Kim promised a relaxed, fun day in which I would be able to float around and photograph mostly documentary style. They didn’t want the formal shots, they wanted only their real story their nearest and dearest.

This is my perfect wedding and I loved sharing everything with them. I was able to capture so much and all mostly from the edges of sight. At times, they forgot I was there and all the jokes, laughter and tears flowed more freely.

I love to be able to fade into the background while not missing a thing. With a knack of allowing events to take place outside of me, I am able to capture everything as it truly is.

Not every wedding is like this. By nature, wedding days are usually more formal, strict and a bit stressful, although still beautiful and moving. Kim and Vincent found the perfect way to manage the stresses while being themselves.

The speeches at both the ceremony and reception were heart felt and funny. I loved hearing all the history Kim and Vincent have shared together. I did chuckled more then once behind my lens! (And must amit to sweaty eyes too!)

Congratulations on your amazingly beautiful, emotional, memorably spontaneous wedding. May your lifetime be without murder J
